In the natural world, the moon demonstrates a monthly cycle. Women need look no further than their own bodies for an example of another monthly cycle. The Lord has been so good allowing women to experience first-hand the flow of creative power, and should know better than others, it is not a constant surge, or a perpetual strength, but ebbs and flows, being quiet and active in turn. Many parts of life should receive fresh, daily attention. We are to thank God daily for our food. With all deference to man’s invention of light bulbs, sleep should daily consume a large portion of the dark hours.  Personal relationships are to receive daily attention, especially addressing relationship problems (let not the sun go down upon your wrath, and in the day that ye hear it…).  Our personal walk with the Lord is to be fresh each day with time dedicated to Him in both the morning and the evening. Refreshment and security are wonderful benefits of the time cycles. In their own way, each different cycle offers an opportunity to start fresh. Most provide a chance to view our lives and time from the hilltop, or from the air, rather than from the trenches. The very fact that the time cycles return provides a sense of security, a  hope that a solution to troubles must be closer. Read more

The Lord built a variety of time cycles into life, many of which are linked to the physical creation. From one day to the next is marked by the sun. One full moon to the next approximates a month. The season cycle, the crop cycle, the aging cycle, the childbearing cycle, and the recurring physical need to eat and sleep, are examples of time cycles directly linked to the way the physical world and people were created. The Front Door

A distinctive front door is a little piece of art all in itself. I remember being so taken with doors in England. Both times we were there (oh, that it could be more!), were ongoing searches to take pictures of doors and their equally delightful doorknobs. My door fascination makes the front door of the priority house a very special part of the home for me. Read more
