God’s Character in Time

The Lord does not use earth time simply to keep us rightly positioned within eternal time. He also uses time to show us truths about Himself, His way of working, and the relationship He desires to have with His creations.

We are considered fools to neglect the truth of eternity and to squander all our resources on earth time.  We are challenged to keep eternity in view, and to consider all that is above and beyond our human sphere.

We are promised that our times are in His hands, and we are assured that neither eternity nor earth time is spinning untended or unwatched like some wild perpetual motion machine. He has shown that He moves in the fullness of His time to accomplish His appointed purposes in our time. Not only does He not slumber or sleep, He is never rushed or hurried in any of His designs.

He moves as we see time moving before us: measured but not boring, brimming with creativity but not chaotic, cyclic but not mindlessly routine.

Birth, death, and all that lies between has been predetermined and allotted its measure of time by Him.  Nothing occurs apart from Him ordering its occurrence. Truly, much of God is revealed through His creation of Time, making the challenge to handle time His way, a worthy challenge indeed.
